Built by people who run a tutoring business
ClassQuill isn't a generic SaaS shop. The EquateIt tutoring company runs on this platform — it's our own reference build, so every feature has to earn its place in a real centre before it ships to yours.
We started on the other side of the desk — running tutoring sessions, marking work by hand, and stitching together a spreadsheet for scheduling, a separate tool for invoices, and yet another for payroll. The operations were a grind, but the real problem was harder: we could tell parents a session happened, but not whether their child was actually learning.
So we built the platform we wished we had — scheduling, billing and payroll in one place, and a learning platform our tutors actually teach in, where homework is set once and auto-marked with tutor review. Then we ran our own tutoring company on it. Everything you see is shaped by that daily use; if a feature doesn't help a real centre, it doesn't make the cut.
Will this company exist in two years? It's the fair question every owner asks before switching tools. Our answer is that we're not betting on someone else's tutoring business to validate ours — we're running one, on this software, every day.
